1. Bluefoot Bar & Lounge, North Park
3404 30th St. If you only learn one soccer bar in San Diego, make it this one. Arsenal's own US supporters page lists Bluefoot as the San Diego Gooners' home, and a May 2026 Fox 5 report counted more than a dozen supporter groups there, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, Tottenham, San Diego FC and the Wave. A bartender told the station he has opened at 4:30 a.m. for Arsenal and at 5 a.m. for a Newcastle derby. SanDiegoVille's June 2026 guide notes 11 TVs and a large patio, and Men in Blazers has named it one of the top 10 soccer bars in the country. Drawback: it is 21+, so no kids, and for a big Arsenal match it is a club atmosphere, not a neutral one. Street parking only on 30th Street. More about the area: North Park.
2. Shakespeare Pub & Grille, Mission Hills
3701 India St. The city's best-known British pub has been pouring since 1990 and keeps a football schedule on its own website. SanDiegoVille's 2026 World Cup guide says regulars arrive at 4 a.m. for European matches, and SoccerNation called it the best place in town for England matches back in 2016. It suits a neutral fan or a visiting Brit who wants Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League in a proper pub room. Drawback: it fills up for England and for big Premier League matches, and a 2016 SoccerNation review called the food a bit expensive. Check the pub's football schedule page before you set an alarm.
3. Princess Pub & Grille, Little Italy
1665 India St. Owned by Liverpool natives, according to SanDiegoVille's June 2026 guide, and decorated like it: a Champions League trophy replica and signed shirts. It is the place for Liverpool matches if you want a pub that is Liverpool first. A soccer-bar directory says it opens as early as 4 a.m. for big games, so confirm with the pub before an early kickoff. Drawback: Little Italy parking is tight, so take the trolley or a rideshare. See Little Italy.
4. Fairplay, North Park
4026 30th St. A soccer-focused bar a short walk up 30th Street from Bluefoot, and the friendlier choice if you have kids or a dog. America's Finest City Spurs, an officially recognized Tottenham supporters club, uses it as its primary match-day spot and describes it as family and pet-friendly. It hosts San Diego FC and Wave supporter watch parties and was named one of the Wave's pub partners. During the 2022 World Cup it was standing room only for a weekday 11 a.m. USA match. Drawback: the Spurs group itself moves to Bluefoot for 4:30 a.m. kickoffs, which tells you Fairplay is not the place for the earliest games.
5. The Field and Whiskey Girl, Gaslamp
The Field Irish Pub, 544 Fifth Ave., and Whiskey Girl, 702 Fifth Ave., are both on San Diego FC's official pub partner list, which makes them handy if you are staying downtown. The Field is 21+; Whiskey Girl is all ages during daytime and dining hours. Neither publishes an early-opening policy for European matches, so call ahead for anything before about 9 a.m. Drawback: Gaslamp parking is expensive on weekends; the trolley is easier. See Downtown and the Gaslamp.
6. O'Brien's Pub, Kearny Mesa
4646 Convoy St. Home of the San Diego chapter of the American Outlaws, the official U.S. men's national team fan organization, and an SDFC pub partner listed as all ages. SanDiegoVille notes it was once named the nation's best beer bar by USA Today, so the beer list is the draw on non-match days. Drawback: it is in a strip on Convoy Street, not a pub you stumble into, and Convoy traffic is heavy at peak hours. Pair it with dinner using our Convoy guide.
7. Liga MX and Mexico: Gaslamp, Old Town and the South Bay
For El Tri, El Chingon at 560 Fifth Ave. in the Gaslamp ran match-day specials and a $25 RSVP deal for Mexico matches during the 2026 World Cup, according to Times of San Diego. Cafe Coyote at 2461 San Diego Ave. in Old Town is a long-running cantina with an outdoor courtyard, and SanDiegoVille says its atmosphere picks up during Mexico games. Both lean toward Mexico national team matches more than every Liga MX weekend game.
The South Bay is where Liga MX crowds are most at home. La Nacional (279 Third Ave., Chula Vista) is family-owned and a regular San Diego FC event host; Vogue Tavern (230 Third Ave., Chula Vista), two blocks away, is described by SanDiegoVille as one of the South Bay's top soccer destinations; and Machete Beer House (2325 Highland Ave., National City) is a 21+ SDFC pub partner. Drawback: none of these publishes a Liga MX schedule, so for a specific club match, call ahead to make sure it is on. See Chula Vista and National City.
8. San Diego FC and San Diego Wave
San Diego FC played its first MLS match on February 23, 2025, finished first in the Western Conference that season with 63 points, and reached the Western Conference final. Its supporters are organized under Frontera SD, a union of groups including 18th Battalion, Barra 18, Chavos Frontera Ultras, Daygo Boys, Riptides, The Locals and USG 18; members do drum practices, tailgates and match days. For away games the club lists more than 80 official pub partners county-wide, from Longball Cocktail Club (4026 Hawk St., Mission Hills, 21+) to Novo Brazil Brewing in Westfield Mission Valley (1640 Camino Del Rio N.). The NWSL's San Diego Wave shares Snapdragon Stadium and sat second in the league as of September 18, 2026; Fairplay is the bar most tied to Wave watch parties. Snapdragon Stadium is reachable by trolley; see How to take the trolley to Snapdragon Stadium.
