The short version

  • Lightscape at San Diego Botanic Garden: Nov 20, 2026 to Jan 3, 2027, adults from $28, kids from $18, 2 and under free
  • Coastal Christmas at Del Mar Fairgrounds opens Dec 11 (4 to 9 pm); 2026 ticket prices were not posted on the pages checked
  • Free streets: Candy Cane Lane (Poway) and Christmas Card Lane (Rancho Penasquitos) have typically run Dec 1 to Dec 25 or 31, but private displays can change
  • Lights included with admission: SeaWorld (from Nov 13), LEGOLAND Christmas Bricktacular (from Nov 21), San Diego Zoo Jungle Bells (Dec 18 to Jan 3)

San Diego has two kinds of Christmas lights: free streets where neighbors go all out, and ticketed shows at parks, the Botanic Garden and the Fairgrounds. Neither kind is fully locked in for 2026 yet, so this page separates what an organizer has published from what is just tradition.
