  • 32 places publish a dog menu, from Sally's Fish House on the bay to Barrio in Carlsbad

This is the biggest list of dog-friendly restaurants, bars, breweries and cafes in San Diego County we could verify: 187 places in seven areas, each pinned on a map. Every one is backed by the venue's own website or social page, a 2024–2026 local guide, or a dog-friendly listing, and was checked as still open in October 2026. Breweries and wineries where dogs can come inside

With no kitchen in the room, these taprooms and tasting rooms say dogs can come inside, which matters on a hot afternoon or a rare rainy one: AleSmith Brewing Company, Blue Door Winery, Culture Brewing Co. Solana Beach, Julian Station, Mike Hess Brewing North Park, Pure Project Miramar Brewery & Taproom.

Patio manners that keep places dog-friendly

  1. 01

    Ask first

Even on this list, the host decides. Some patios cap dogs per table or keep them to one section.

  2. 02

Leash on, feet on the ground

State law requires a leash in outdoor dining areas and keeps dogs off seats and tables.

  3. 03

    Bring water and a mat

Concrete patios get hot. Many spots put out water bowls, but not all.

  4. 04

Leave if your dog can't settle

One barking dog is how patios end up with a no-dogs sign.
