Where to watch your NFL team in San Diego: fan-club bars for every team we could find

San Diego has not had an NFL team of its own since the Chargers moved to Los Angeles in 2017 (here's why). What it does have is a huge transplant population, and almost every fan base has claimed a bar. This guide is for the Bills fan from Buffalo, the Browns fan from Akron and everyone else who wants to watch with people who groan at the same moments.

How we picked: we started with the 2025 team-bar roundups from Times of San Diego and SanDiegoVille, then kept only bars we could confirm are still operating in 2026 from their own websites, official fan-club pages or recent listings. Where a team's own site or an official backers club names a bar, we say so. We found a verifiable home for 21 of the 32 teams. Bars that have closed or that we couldn't confirm are listed at the end.

1. AFC East and South: Bills, Dolphins, Patriots, Colts

Bills: The Local Pacific Beach (809 Thomas Ave.) advertises itself as "Home of the Bills Backers" and opens at 10 a.m. on Sundays, which is exactly kickoff for an early game. Go 30 minutes early. Long Story Irish Pub in Point Loma used to be a Bills spot too, but it closed in July 2026. Dolphins: Flamingo Deck (4110 Mission Blvd.) is openly Dolphins-themed and opens at 9 a.m. on weekends with brunch until 2 p.m. Patriots: Wonderland Ocean Pub (5083 Santa Monica Ave.) is an oceanfront bar and was named a Patriots and Steelers favorite by Times of San Diego in 2025. The views are the best on this list; the drawback is that OB parking on a sunny Sunday is tight.

Colts: Sidecar Bar (1310 Morena Blvd., Bay Park) was listed as the Colts bar in both 2025 roundups. It opens at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays. Be aware it describes itself as not really a sports bar: about eight TVs, pool tables and pinball. For a Colts crowd that is plenty; for a Sunday of every game, it isn't.

2. AFC North: Steelers, Browns, Bengals

Steelers: Bub's at the Beach in Pacific Beach was the Steelers bar for about 25 years before it closed. The Steelers Club of San Diego moved to Break Point (945 Garnet Ave., Pacific Beach), and Fox 5 reported the club's plans for game broadcasts and fundraising for the Ryan Shazier Foundation there. Northside Tavern in Ocean Beach also draws Steelers fans. Bengals: both 2025 roundups name The Local Eatery & Drinking Hole (1065 4th Ave., downtown), which opens at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays. Its own site calls it home of the Packers, so on a Bengals-Packers Sunday you will be sharing.

3. AFC West: Chiefs, Raiders, Broncos, Chargers

Chiefs: Kansas City Barbeque (600 W. Harbor Dr., near the Convention Center) was founded in 1983 by Kansas City natives, is famous as a Top Gun filming location, and says it opens early for Chiefs games. It calls itself the No. 1 Chiefs bar in San Diego. Home & Away (2222 San Diego Ave., Old Town) switched from a Chargers bar to a Chiefs bar after the Chargers left, its owner told CBS 8. Its posted hours start at 11:30 a.m. daily, so call before an early game.

Raiders: Dirty Birds Ocean Beach (1929 Cable St.) was described by Times of San Diego as partial to Chiefs and Raiders fans, which makes for a lively room twice a year. It opens at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays during the NFL season and has 24 4K TVs and four dog-friendly patios. Note the 4% surcharge on every check. Broncos: The Rabbit Hole (3377 Adams Ave., Normal Heights) opens at 9 a.m. on Sundays. Chargers: plenty of San Diegans still root for the team that left. Harbor Town Pub (1125 Rosecrans St., Point Loma), open since 2011, is a known Chargers hangout and serves weekend breakfast from 8 a.m.

4. NFC North: Bears, Lions, Packers, Vikings

Bears: 710 Beach Club (710 Garnet Ave., Pacific Beach) is the Bears pick in both 2025 roundups and opens at 10 a.m. on Sundays. It doubles as a music venue, so nights can get loud. Lions: The Ould Sod (3373 Adams Ave., Normal Heights) is a 35-year-old Irish pub that advertises Lions broadcasts and opens at 10 a.m. on weekends. It is two doors from The Rabbit Hole, so a Lions-Broncos game splits one block of Adams Avenue.

Packers: Packers fans have the most options. Miss B's Coconut Club (3704 Mission Blvd., Mission Beach) bills itself as "Home of the Green Bay Packers" and opens at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays. Downtown, The Local Eatery & Drinking Hole also claims the Packers. Vikings: Garage Kitchen + Bar (655 4th Ave., Gaslamp) calls itself San Diego's official Vikings watch bar, opens at 9 a.m. on Sundays, takes game-day reservations and is listed on the Vikings' own fan-club and watch-bar page.

5. NFC East and South: Cowboys, Eagles, Commanders, Saints

Cowboys: Union Kitchen & Tap (333 5th Ave., Gaslamp) is named the Cowboys bar in both 2025 roundups. Its website says nothing about game-day hours, so call ahead. Eagles: Gaslamp Tavern (868 5th Ave.) has been an Eagles bar on Sundays for years and opens at 9 a.m.; parking at Horton Plaza is $12 for three hours, per the bar. Commanders: Winstons Beach Club (1921 Bacon St., Ocean Beach), a live-music bar since 1986, lists Commanders games on its October 2026 calendar. It is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Saints: NOLA on 5th (3683 Fifth Ave., Hillcrest) serves gumbo and po'boys and opens at 10 a.m. on Sundays, so for an early game you walk in at kickoff.

6. NFC West: 49ers and Seahawks

49ers: Northside Tavern (2228 Bacon St., Ocean Beach) is open daily from 9 a.m. and has a dog-friendly patio; reviewers call it their go-to Niners bar. Seahawks: Thrusters Lounge (4633 Mission Blvd., Pacific Beach) is a dive bar open since 1999 that jokes it was voted the best place to watch a Seahawks game "by us." Its posted weekend hours start at 3 p.m. and it has no phone, so check its Instagram before an early game.

Teams we couldn't confirm

We left out teams whose 2025 bars we couldn't confirm for 2026, including the Ravens, Giants, Jets, Rams, Jaguars, Titans, Texans, Falcons, Cardinals, Buccaneers and Panthers.
