Printing at the Central Library

  1. 01

    Prepare an .STL file

Design your own or download one. Free slicers like Cura or MakerBot Print help you check size and print time.

  2. 02

    Go during open lab hours

Open lab has been Monday and Tuesday afternoons (1–5 p.m.) for walk-ins and appointments; one Bambu printer can be booked online.

  3. 03

    Keep it under 3 hours

Larger jobs need to be split or scaled down.

  4. 04

    Expect PLA only

Staff can't guarantee strength, color or confidentiality of designs.

Your library card also gets you free museum passes and a free state parks pass. SDSU students can use the campus Build IT print service during the semester.
